Globally, skin cancer accounts for a third of all diagnosed cancers and is on the rise. 1 in 5 Americans and 2 in 3 Australians will develop skin cancer in their lifetime, and between 95% and 99% of these are caused by exposure to the sun.
The stats are hard and the need for sun protection is real. We Roam swimwear has been independently tested by the ARPANSA, an independent Government body, to provide UPF50+ protection against harmful UVA and UVB sunrays. We Roam rash guards feature full front zippers for ease of change and no pinch zipper flaps to protect skin from irritation, so families can continue to enjoy long
days at the beach in style and comfort.
The label’s debut swimwear collection has a contemporary bohemian influence – a vibrant realm of hand painted print and colour inspired by global wanderings.Modest cuts are playfully energised with mixed pattern and quintessentially Australian boho vibes.
For the label’s founder, Bridie Cowell, the ocean triggers happy childhood memories, something she treasures and wants her kids to experience without having to worry about the harmful effects of the sun. Bridie says, “There’s nothing like a salty dip to make you feel alive. Kids roam free and parents are reminded to enjoy the simple pleasures. It’s always been my happy place.” A mother of two boys under two, Bridie’s background is in FMCG Marketing, building some of Australia’s largest brands.
