Today’s guest blog is from our lovely friend Belinda from Nest Design Studio. If you’ve been following along, you’ll know she’s writing for us once a month and we get rather excited when she stops by! Today Bel is giving us some top tips for some of her favourite pieces to help with storage solutions around the house. Be prepared to fall in love, Bel has amazing taste!! Over to Bel…
Let’s talk about storage. There are so many things to consider when planning a space, but you always NEED to allow for plenty of storage. Be it via built in cabinetry, dressers or baskets, you can guarantee that you will fill up those babies in no time!
Today, I’m going to share with you some of my favourite baskets. You will find that in my designs, I always specify a basket or two. Make them look pretty and it won’t matter what you put in there! Plus baskets are easy for little ones to help with the cleaning up, so that is always a win!
One of my favourites, are the gorgeous rope baskets from Munchkin & Bear. Loving their new tassel range!
Next up, is the from the beautiful Olli Ella. Honestly, I’m finding it hard to narrow down to just one that I want to show you…..these baskets are super sturdy, stylish and work well in a childs room or a Living area (particularly the lidded baskets).
Now, these baskets from Amigos De Hoy, I’m a little bit mad about! I love the whole textural combination of the weave, the leather and the pom poms (oh my!). Honestly, I want one in every room of my house. Now.
I’ve used these felt hampers from Willow & Wood a few times now with my clients and they are the perfect size for a shelf. You know allll the little things that little people collect? Yep, grab a few of these!
I’m sure you’ve seen these baskets used al over instagram land. Really simple, but such a great colour combo and really versatile. Kids Store.
Fabric storage baskets are another great option. You can usually find great colours and patterns with this style. I love this spotty one from Room & Bloom.
Honestly, I could go on and on…..because I have so many options saved for my clients. It’s all well and good when you design a pretty space, but you also need to make it functional and have a well thought out and planned room will help keep it looking pretty!
