This package includes three varieties of the assay diluent LowCross-Buffer®, the stabilization reagent Liquid Plate Sealer, and two blocking reagents, The Blocking Solution and SmartBlock.

LowCross-Buffer® is an innovative assay buffer for ELISA, EIA, RIA, protein arrays, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry and immuno-PCR. The formulation of LowCross-Buffer® reduces immunoassay interference and greatly improves the quality of detection. Nonspecific binding of the antibodies, negative effects of interfering substances, matrix effects, and low or medium affinity cross reactivities of the antibodies can be significantly decreased. Reduction of these negative effects improves the quality of the assay and the reliability of the results.

LowCross-Buffer® MILD is an alternate version of LowCross-Buffer® in which the differentiation-line between false and true signals has been moved to lower affinities compared to LowCross-Buffer®.

LowCross-Buffer® STRONG is an alternate version of LowCross-Buffer® in which the differentiation-line between false and true signals has been moved to higher affinities compared to LowCross-Buffer®.

Liquid Plate Sealer® is a stabilizer for coated antibodies and antigens on polystyrene or glass surfaces. After immobilization of the antibodies or antigens and blocking, Liquid Plate Sealer® seals the plates with a uniform, highly soluble stabilizing layer without affecting the assay. Plates treated with Liquid Plate Sealer® can be stored for long periods after drying.

The Blocking Solution is a casein-based blocker designed for saturating free binding sites on plastic surfaces or other protein binding surfaces. This minimizes unwanted binding of the analyte or the detection antibody to the surface, avoiding background and improving sensitivity of the assay. The Blocking Solution is well suited for assays that require high reproducibility and low coefficients of variation.

SmartBlock™ is a BSA-free, peptide-based blocker. For many assays, SmartBlock™ is an economical and reliable alternative to BSA-containing solutions. This item was produced by chemically modifying peptides in a specific process that resulted in a peptide solution with strong blocking characteristics. Problems caused by BSA within blockers, such as BSA-interactions and cross reactivities, can be eliminated by using SmartBlock™.
